Well, we just called the Mac shop in sioux falls... and the terrible news is that it's dead. *SOB* They said if we wanted to fix it, it would be an estimate of $800. Enough to buy a whole new one. =/
I'm just glad they could save the hard drive.... that would have been SO SO SO bad if I lost ALL my work, all my pictures, a ton of photoshop downloads, and everything else I had saved on there for the past 4 years! I think I would have gone insane. But luckily they saved it. So now we're gonna have to get a new one. But I don't think we're gonna get another mac. ='( *tears* Dad thinks we can get something just as good with a PC. Esp now a days when computers are just getting packed with more and more power. I'll miss my mac tho. =( But the bright side is, that since we'd be switching to windows... i'd need to buy photoshop again since i have the mac version. (ok, so BUYING it AGAIN isn't the bright side...) BUT! We MIGHT get CS4!! Since we're gonna buy photoshop again, we might as well get the latest one. That would be awesome! But we'll see... I haven't checked the price difference in CS2 and 4 yet. But i s'pose we could probably get a student discount again...
Well, anyway... so that's the reason why I haven't updated, responded to e-mails, or commented in forever! =/ And now i don't even know how long it'll be till we even have a computer again! =( I don't know why the computer crashed... it's not THAT old. *sigh* I hate starting all over. I LOVE the mac. Oh well... can't do anything about it now. SO, I'll probably not be on as much cuz the only computer we have now is dad's laptop... and he's usually on it ALL the time for work. But I'll get on... even if I have to wait till he goes to bed! =P
Well, hope you all are doing well! I s'pose you can pray that we find a computer SOON, and for a good price. We're seeming to have some sort of omen with things breaking lately... everything keeps dying or falling apart. lol. First the Baby Grand, then the car, then the vacuum, then the computer, and then dad's laptop was on the frits for a while, and now we're all crossing our fingers hoping that our phones and the refridgerator don't have some sort of epidemic. lol. What else?

THERE REALLY IS A BOMB IN OUR BACKYARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Ok... not like a "bomb" ur thinking of... but my dad accidentally created one by covering up our propane monitor. We had a guy come over to fill up our propane tank and while he was doing that, he noticed our monitor. He came in and was like... uh, if you don't get a vent in that, and something goes wrong with the gas connections, you'll be sitting on a major bomb. YIKES! Rachel read my comment and was like... why'd you make it seem like there wasn't a bomb? I was like... um, cuz there isn't??? When she told me, i couldn't believe it. But she finally got me convinced.
SO... yeah... add THAT to list. LOL. *gulp*
LOL, maybe you should MOVE... :) Yeah I guess that SHOULD be on a list of things gone wrong...yikes. What happened to your baby grand???!!!! I never heard about anything going wrong with it...hope it's okay! :S
Poor Sarah...we should have a funeral. I've always used a PC, so I'm kinda partial to them myself...I think they're pretty good things. However, I know people (even in my own FAMILY) who would disagree with that...I think it's a matter of personal opinion. Hope ya find something SOON...we all miss you!!
Well, we found out the piano has a cracked soundboard. =( So it would end up being just as much to fix it as it would be to basically buy a new one. I think the guy said it would be around $3000+ or something. Yeah... so that stinks. We finally get it out and tuned, then we find out it won't work. I was pretty upset. =( And not to mention all the money we put into storing it! Yikes... I think we could have bought a new grand with just that! =S Yeah, my dad wasn't too happy about that either.
So now it's back to the electric keyboard... *sigh*... We'll have to have a funeral for the mac and the baby grand now. Two of my favorites! ='(
